I think its pundits and op-Ed writers questioning it, I don’t think democratic voters are questioning it, seeing as how it was democratic voters who voted for a woman in 2016.
It 100% is a media creation. I haven't heard a person in real life ask that question since Hillary essentially beat trump in 2016. If that scenario was played a thousand times, Hillary would've ended up our president 999 times. It was a fluke.
I’ve heard it a bunch. Like, some think Mayor Pete is more electable than Warren. “My conservative grandma heard him speak and loved him” for example.
It’s bc he is polling better than Liz. I’m no fan of Pete’s, but the media is talking less about the female candidates bc they are not currently polling well and that’s been the case for months.
But he came out of nowhere and no one knew who he was until like a month ago. The media gave him a lot of coverage, he did the CNN town hall and THEN his polling numbers started to rise.
! My take: electability is just a form of political gaslighting:https://link.medium.com/wyNNvGiAbW
" Just a form of gaslighting" doesn't make it ineffective. Consider HRC whose gender made her "unelectable" in the eyes of many voters.
Gaslighting is very effective and becomes less so by naming it.
The fact that the question could be raised and taken seriously (however briefly) shows how much erosion we’ve endured under this administration.
so very true. What seemed so very possible and within reach seems farther away than ever
A reminder - not that we were asking for one - of how fragile progress actually is. We can assume nothing and must defend every gain fiercely.
I 'LOVE' the image in your post so much Lady (Kristen Blush)!!! That was indeed, a "VERY FINE HISTORIC MOMENT" in 2016!!!...pic.twitter.com/jnMCmunoEu
Thank you!!!!! I love to share ithat photo specifically on Mother’s Day. Hillary and Chelsea are super moms.

You're so welcome Lady (Kristen Blush). I know that I can speak for all (Hillary Rodham Clinton-NY
Loyal Supporters), when saying that we most likely will "NEVER GET OVER (2016) BEING STOLEN" from all of us!!! Especially of course, (HRC-NY
) & "DEMOCRACY ITSELF!!!".#Stolen2016
