This is why both debate on the subject AND humanizing someone who refuses to humanize anyone else is a fools errand. No racist or anti-choice or proud boy or incel is going to lend you one lick of humanity. Their opinions are based on refusing humanity to others.

So when someone goes “abortion is murder” they ARE their opinion. They have a belief structure and that belief structure bleeds into how they treat others. And I flatly reject that I need to humanize racists, misogynists, anti-choice and do reject them as having a valid opinion.

how is that line determined? How do we know when someone's opinion is too far gone?

When their opinion dehumanizes others. Calling abortion murder is actually calling the mother a murderer. Which is patently false, not backed up by science, and excludes all info about the public health effects of restricting or making abortion illegal. That’s the line.

Grey area considering I’m a circumcised male. I think FGM and male Circumcision are cultural practices that have real human impacts. I don’t agree with them, I think we can work to educate ppl better about why not to do it.

You cant compare circumcision to FGM. FGM ruins the sexual organ, destroys the option of sexual pleasure, is done at puberty and often leaves horrible side effects

Some types of female circumcision only remove the labia. The foreskin contains about 20,000 nerve endings while the clitoris has around 7,000. So a male loses much more over a mild form of female circumcision.

What is the primary source for the 20,000 nerves claim?
