My baby’s rights trump my feelings - removing a child’s body parts without its consent due to *my* religious beliefs is a violation of my child’s religious freedom & an imposition of my own cultural values onto a defenceless baby. I endorse an age of consent for male circumcisionhttps://twitter.com/lbc/status/969976660446588933 …

Stunning 60% reduction in HIV transmission. If there were a vaccine that lowered transmission half as much with the same risk profile, it would likely be mandatory. Seems like ample grounds for parents to have this option.http://www.who.int/hiv/topics/malecircumcision/en/ …

The HIV data are from *adult* circumcision (which no one objects to) in Sub-Saharan Africa, which has a vastly different epidemiological profile from other parts of the worldhttps://academic.oup.com/phe/advance-article/doi/10.1093/phe/phx024/4764011 …

Thanks for this contribution. Looks like you’re the co-author of this paper and based on the abstract, the conclusion stops far short of arguing that circumcision of male infants should be legally prohibited. Do you support a prohibition?
