Also, I take it that u r insinuating something like, courses on cultural construction of gender drawing on Butler are somehow inherently worthless or something? There are many problems with Butler, & many bad cultural construction type arguments. But there are good ones too

This is a different argument. We have written essays about why this is bad & I am currently writing a book on it. Our project did not seek to show that radical constructivism & ideologically-motivated scholarship is bad. It sought to show how it is getting into academic journals.

Many people from those fields or sympathetic to them have responded to say that they already knew this was happening and that it is a good thing. Those people were not who we were trying to convince. We were addressing the liberals reluctant to see that this is happening.
