They explicitly state they consider the subject matter of those fields important, they just take issue with shoddy forms of scholarship (ie autoethography & poetic inquiry) that happen to be concentrated in those fields. I think that’s a very fair criticism.

but a "more charitable way" to enrich their approach with other views, typically results in being associated with all kinds of invalidating labels, bashing, ruined carreers, or in the best of cases, being relegated to irrelevance. Were those journals charitable in the 1st place?
