In @businessinsider @Politicsinsider I write about the threats to religious freedom in Europe, where circumcision bans are being consideredhttp://www.businessinsider.com/denmark-circumcision-ban-vote-misguided-opinion-2018-6 …

This article is embarrassingly ignorant and should be retractedhttps://www.dovepress.com/female-genital-mutilation-and-male-circumcision-toward-an-autonomy-bas-peer-reviewed-article-MB …

Apparently some people are confused - the Business Insider article by @DGreenbaum should be retracted as it does not meet minimal journalistic standards; the Dove Press piece I linked to is an explanation of why her article is wrong on almost every substantive point

Disagree, I’m afraid. First orthodox religion is not your subject. Second you haven’t identified the journalistic ethics you claim she breached. Third your tweet seems coloured by your own ideological stance to which you only alluded at the end.

I made no claims about orthodox religion. The ethics beach is making demonstrably false empirical claims that a minimum of research efforts would reveal. I am certain my views color my tweets - is that bad?

I think you did ... the paras about biblical era practice. Best left alone by secularists, IMO. The demonstrably false claims about benefits? Your views are not so bad but they are ultimately unreasonable.

Are you a member of a respected medical organization? Were you a member of the AAP circumcision task force? Surely you must know that not even they could issue a recommendation based on current medical literature. Their 2012 statement says “The benefits aren’t great enough.” #2
