I swear there's a very specific term for that, but I can't remember what it is. It's where you recognize an error in a field you're familiar with but generally assume the rest of the material you're less familiar with is correct.

Well it's not really journalism, if you look carefully at the top you will note it is an "Opinion" piece, unfortunately very common these days. Often these are used to intentionally spread misinformation or as clickbait.
