I know several Bohra women personally who feel traumatized by the cutting - there are not “no issues” just because you ignore those who feel harmed. Similarly, male circumcision is damaging to many men - it should not be used as a standard of harmlessness.

But those who do feel harmed are making an important moral point. In Western law, bodily integrity is paramount. Cutting a child’s private parts conflicts with this & should not be done
