Personally, I would far rather see support for IOTA than bcash. At least IOTA is innovative.

They've got 8M customers, all who would be effected in a good way by Bitcoin Cash being implemented. IOTA is far down the pile

Dear Coinbase, keep the bitcoin cash profits for yourself and use that to bolster the trading engine so the site doesn't crash as often!

Giving your users the option to access their bitcoin cash coins will only help you in the long run.
-
I agree, would avoid a class action law sue, which will be a lot cheaper in the long run. I always recommended coinbase, won't after today.

Totally understand not adding it... but any chance you could support a one time 90 day period where customers can withdraw to one address?
-
The decision not to support bitcoin cash was bizarre. I've stored nearly all my coins at
@Coinbase since 2013. Not anymore :( -
You should store your own keys anyway. Take it as a blessing.
-
Why should I store my own keys?
-
The whole point of Bitcoin is you're your own bank...
-
Not for me. I get excited about digital cash (irreversible transactions) and all the good it can do for the world.
-
I don't see it doing good for the world if billions of people have to manage (and screw up / lose / get robbed / etc.) their own keys.

An exchange hack is far worse

Somehow you had no problm allowing customers to withdraw ETC during ETH fork. Nevermind that ETC was the original chain and ETH the fork LOL

No, that doesn't clarify... if you added BCH, would you credit your customers with the respective amount at the time of the fork?
-
Yes,
@coinbase already publicly said they would - 1 more reply
