Like many, Mike Yazdi is schocked at how fast the fire moved and was basically at his front door. He evacuated around 4:45 am with his wife and two cats and just got home and is relieved to see it made it through. His neighbor woke them up and he said flames were across the road
Some families are starting to return back to see if their homes made it. Firefighters were able save most of the structure, but flames damaged most of the inside

This is Emilio’s house. His bedroom (the back shed) is totally gone. He says his parents bought it 10 years ago. He came to check on it and is staying positive

So Cal Edison says “determining the cause and origin of a fire is a lengthy process” and their priority right now is safety. They wouldn’t confirm if power was shut off before the fire, but some residents said it was on, however LA DWP is also a provider for many in this area
