Ben, if Israeli abided by international law they'll be no need for Hamas and other such groups
-
I think you are in essence saying that if Israel ceased to exist, there would be no need for Hamas. Is that correct?

Hamas is a product/result of the occupation, blockade and those periodic wars but more so of the dehumanisation of the Palestinian people. It’s the apartheid system that gives rise to such resistance.

Actually not a bad take for once. The blockade is necessary for preventing military arms and explosives from getting into Hamas’ hands, but otherwise, when applied to other goods, it is doing nothing but causing economic suffering as you’ve said.

Hamas has been horrible, but the reason Hamas is empowered in the first place is because there has been no Palestinian approach that has yielded a positive outcome. As always, desperate people end up doing desperate things.
-
You mean the Palestinian’s constant approach of always saying no to having their own state when offered one? You are correct. That has never yielded a positive outcome. Not sure how that’s Israel’s fault though. Maybe you ought to consider the Israeli’s desperation to survive.
