    On a drizzly Thanksgiving morning many years ago, the enemy sprung the trap he laid intending to end my life. Since that fateful crash I’ve scarcely lived a pain-free day. Pain reminds me of Satan’s failure & is often my call to worship. I am thankful.

    Today we celebrate the life of my good friend, Angel Hernandez. His 7-week fight with Covid is over, and he and Jesus chose eternity. He has worked for me for 30 years and I honor him today. A good man, hard worker, lover of Jesus. I will miss him greatly. Adios mi amigo.

    I wish the happiest of all birthdays to this great woman, great Christian & great friend, Gizelle Jones. Her bearing is regal. She loves God intensely. I’ve known her 2/3 of my life & I still find her interesting. Knowing this woman makes me want to be a better man.

    The convenient catch phrase “God’s will” is the great equalizer licensing any desire/behavior. Ethics/conduct/proper procedures can be blown off when someone shrugs & says, “What can I say? It’s God’s will!” Poor darlings are unwilling pawns, caught by an arbitrary, whimsical God

    I’m paraphrasing … “It’s refreshing when you find the “one leper” out of all the people you help, come back and show you their thankful, healed life.” Gems like this are one of the reasons I follow closely.

    To those who opened up & shared their pain… shared pain allows others to help bear the load. Tears keep the soul from exploding... they relentlessly, painfully, mournfully release the pressure from inexpressible emotional devastation. Tears are distilled from the soul.

    Today is July 4. I am the only person at Mr. Car Wash getting my vehicle cleaned. The song “Oh, Christmas Tree” just went off… and now the Christmas song “It Came on a Midnight Clear” is playing… Somebody is wishing for cooler weather.

    I heard say, "If God wants to tell me something, He will likely also tell the people to whom I am submitted." Good stuff. I've noticed people who practice submission often hear from God and have support when they do.
