Kurd’s brought this this on themselves, by not giving Trump a better hotel / resort / golf-course deal than Turkey. I would say this sarcasm, but I’m not sure, if Erdogan actually dangled some deals for Trump to take his side. I feel anger at USA and sorrow for the Kurds
Read elsewhere in the thread. In 2018, Turkey threatened to seize Trump properties in Turkey in retaliation for US sanctions. This could be Trump's way of avoiding that happening.

Mattis shouldn’t have kept his silence, his respect for the office enabled a dictator. We begged @SpeakerPelosi to start impeachment earlier and reminded her of an unprotected 2020. Now it may be too late to fix things & we will never forget this cowardice.
Pelosi couldn’t “start impeachment” until the caucus was on board. She played this exactly right.
