Lot of nice things about Elm, but the core language development side of things is not one of them. I think there will be interesting stuff to see in the future, but many excellent potential contributors will have been turned off from helping out by that stage.

Think that's part of Evan's goal though - he wants to be the only cook in the kitchen. Means language development is a crawl though, but again, he's said that development speed is not one of his goals, which I guess I can respect. 🤷‍♂️

Yeah, I also like a lot of the surface level syntactic choices, and if Evan plays his cards right wrt. polymorphism, I might end up liking that more than Purescript's. Might be years before that ever happens though, if ever.
