so I'm learning go-lang. Turns out that the function to cast a string into int is called Atoi.

It's definitely a strange name, but understandable seeing as Go was designed by Pike and Thompson: cplusplus.com/reference/cstd

"atoi: ASCII to integer" stackoverflow.com/a/2909772/6794 – no idea if Go's is unicode though - then it would be even weirder. ^_^

In Rust we just have a `from_str` function. But it's polymorphic and of course Go doesn't do that kind of thing ;)
