Loading the functions at run time is pretty much a requirement if you want your code to be portable ;)

It doesn't help that I'm pushing Rust's parametric polymorphism to the limit with lmath. I've uncovered lots of critical bugs.

A language's community usually reflects the personality of its creators. And doesn't take himself too seriously. :)

yikes. Anyway, most of us don't see Rust as competing in the same space as Go. Go: productivity? Rust: high performance, safety.
