Evolutionary in the sense of cultural evolution, and memetics.

@bjzaba_ I think it misses a lot of depth, and simplifies (rationalizes?) a lot of very complicated social processes!

You might be right there, in a sense of the "meme as a unit of culture". That is indeed reductionist.
