Still working on a game! Just interested from a CS perspective. I'm currently working with

@bjzaba_ Cool! :D I didn't know game dev was a plausible use case for Rust. How are you finding it so far?

The tricky thing will be dealing with the lack of global state. But I'm sure that's a problem that can be solved.

@bjzaba_ What about Go? I don't know if there are any graphics libs, but I've been using it for a while now and I love it :)

I see go as a higher level language, more like python (but with less overhead). Which definitely has its place.

Mandatory GC is a show-stopper in terms of high performance real-time applications.

But there is GC if you want it. You just have to use the '@' sigil on a type.

then how do you free mem ? You just unref it ? How that different from GC behavior ?

I'm not too up with the specifics, but I believe that's worked out at compile time. dl.rust-lang.org/doc/tutorial.h
