Rust is far closer to the metal, like C and C++, making it ideal for performance critical applications like browsers and 3D games.

@bjzaba_ then why not directly c or cpp ?

As somebody who values beauty and design, I want my tools to be reasonably nice to work with. It rubs off on the final product.

Yeah definitely. He's been saying that C++ is a difficult language to work with for a while now, but there's been no real contender
