i don't have actual water yet, but i'm experimenting with some noise functionality. this is seamless at world edges, and has tunable density at the lowest octaves, as well as tunable # of octaves

Oh gosh this reminds me of stuff I was doing years back when my brain was into procgen (still slightly sad I’m kind of stuck in other modes atm). There's so much you can do with just… perlin noise and a plane for water.

yes, honestly just noise is extremely compelling! this is just 8 octaves @ 0.5 amplitude ratio

Yeah I love how the mind is to able to fill in the gaps mind is so able to fill in the gaps with the right stimulus. I just love how evocative these images are.
