if you didn't know, it's not your fault. "monolingualism-as-norm" is a value propagated by western society, and it's tied to european colonialism and genocide.

Most white Australians are also monolingual. I only cured myself of this relatively recently, too, unless you count Latin.

Yeah… I’d imagine similarly in New Zealand and a good amount of Canada, outside of the French speaking parts?
