I think I learned an extremely important life hack today
when you want to consume information from a white paper from PL research academia and you never went through a PHD program / can't understand their greek grammars, check to see if they gave a talk on the paper instead!

Yeah this helps so much. People sometimes are like ‘uhhh the talk is just an advert for the paper’ but I'm like, ‘NOO, it helps so much!’. Just to get a an insight into what the author thinks is the most interesting – it's great to have that to hold onto as to delve deeper.

That's why I'm so thankful for all the videos that are now online, accessible outside academia. I really hope they are archived somewhere for future generations. 🙏
