Oh wow - for some reason I had… a very incorrect idea about how pineapple fruit grew. In hindsight I dunno how I was so wrong. 🙈

For some reason I thought top of the pineapple was the leaves above the ground. And that you would then have to eat your new family member. But that is… not how fruit works. 🤦♂️
Instead, looking at pictures it seems you get these cute lil pineapples sitting on vertical stalks. Very cool.

I was surprised when I first saw the fruit growing on one too. I think I expected it to be more at ground level, not held aloft on a stalk.
