Moved off of after 14 years. Was willing to reserve judgment on the Electron-based Mac app, but today’s crypto integration announcement was the straw that broke the camel’s back. Trying iCloud Passwords, and may fall back to Minimalist if I miss some of the features.

Yeah that was disappointing, and gives me pause. When I posted about this before, the account liked a bunch of my tweets, but I've not really seen any action: twitter.com/brendanzab/sta – that tweet being from Feb 1 doesn't bode well. 😕

Yeah, seems like it was written by their Chief Customer Officer, so hopefully they're just a bit clueless about this stuff. Hopefully they take it down as it sends absolutely the wrong message.

Kind of hoping they see the backlash against 1Password and reverse course, but who knows. At the very least they don't seem to be pursuing “partnerships”, but it makes me question their internal decision making process if engineers didn't (or couldn't) push back on it.
