How can anyone watch the entire monstrosity that is the field of computer science wreak havoc on society while most people barely even notice and not feel stressed all the time? It's like the worst incentives and the worst motives and the worst community norms always win out

Sadly I've found the more concerned and stressed I get, the less convincing I sound to people not keeping up – I don't think many are really ready to hear the warnings. I'm looking forward to seeing Don't Look Up (hoping for some catharsis at least). :(

A satirical film about scientists trying to warn people about an impending meteor impact, but nobody will listen to them or take them seriously. The shorts look hilarious (in a heartbreaking way), but no idea if it's gonna be good or not.
