Where do I go if I want to find comp-sci papers by topic?

Generally I start with Semantic Scholar (semanticscholar.org), and see if that brings up leads. After that, Connected Papers (connectedpapers.com) can be useful for navigating citation networks. But yeah, often finding the right keywords is important.

Great! Thank you. I imagine there are just a lot of sites out there offering content, not to mention stuff published under each edu. This should give me a nice way to pick up threads to follow.

TBH I think it's also extremely useful to find people with experience in the domain you are interested in. Follow them on Twitter for example. They can be of great help in finding good places to start in a specific domain.

And often the terminology changes over the years, so you need to be aware of that too, if you want to get to ideas from further back.
