there are plenty of things wrong with HP itself (and its author), but the series was also (in my opinion) directly responsible for tons of kids falling in love with reading at a young age, which is fantastic.

I totally get it. I'm a twilight fan myself, so who am I to complain about HP. I just find it weird that people get so mad discussing HP online lol

I try not to get mad at it too much, but I'm just pretty disappointed and it's pretty irrevocably tarnished in my eyes. So yeah it has no room in my life anymore (as much as I was thoroughly engrossed in the books and its world for a good portion of my school years).
