Yeah I get really confused with the build/package tooling too… still have yet to try out drom to see if it helps things (I find cargo pretty easy to use on the whole, so maybe?)

Yeah, I think the nice thing about how they designed cargo (for all its flaws) is that it starts off simple, but you can gradually opt into more custom stuff if you need it. That means you can keep the every-day stuff in your head quite easily.
