2. "your GP" is a bit misleading. You should be able to book with any General Practice that is offering vaccinations - not just your regular doctor (if you even have one, many don't). Some may ask your GP to send a health summary to them - that's done with a simple phone call.

3. Hotdoc can help you identify a place to get the vaccine near you. I recommend then finding the phone number for that practice and calling them. They should find an appointment for you in that call.

4. Go get your vaccination! It only takes a few minutes (don't forget your mask and check in) and you have to wait 15 mins after in the waiting room. They should book your second dose before you leave.

5. Let your mates know you got the jab. And where. I went to Dundas St Medical in Thornbury (not my normal doctor). Inner North Medical have a lot of appointments now too.

6. You're allowed out and beyond 5kms (as far as I know) to get vaccinated, so just find somewhere you can safely get to! Have fun!!

PS some practices might not have space or take new patients, so call around and ask your networks for help if you need. I had no side effects and can't wait for dose 2.

Getting vaccinated is one thing you CAN do in lockdown that feels like it's meaningful and useful. And remember, it helps protect our most vulnerable - and is a step towards freedom for all of us. THANK YOU!
