I gave up on expecting competence from the Australian government so I went ahead and got my first AZ shot yesterday.

I resent being in lockdown and having to choose between
a) going against medical advice, risking a (vanishingly small) chance of blood clots, and getting a slightly less effective vaccine
b) sitting on my thumbs, while this outbreak continues, until Pfizer is widely available

It's a big relief to get rid of that one unknown, at least in my experience! Crummy situtation though. Hope you are doing ok up there.
