my first-draft emails usually have an approximately 1:1 bang-to-dot ratio. if it's a formal-ish email I then rewrite it a bunch of times until I have at most a 1:2 ratio. I always hate it, but I've been told I'm too forcefully friendly so 😅

In my tweet dated June 28, 2021, I wrote that I struggle with use of exclamation points in emails. I did not say it affected tweets, nor correspondence generally. My Twitter persona, such as it is, tends to affect a drier style.
