I think sometimes my struggle is that I'm often more interested in 'how do I implement this cool new thing' vs. the proofs about the thing, so sometimes I struggle in papers that are pretty heavy on the latter, especially if it involves category theory stuff!

I have appreciated in your recent talks that you try to start with an accessible on-ramp to the problem, and explain how you organise your solution to deal with the metatheory(?) side of things, so that's been helpful to me, even if I don't get all the details.
