i wish there was a language like elm but for the backend

Would you still envisage it using some form of the Elm Architecture? Or just a simple FP lang with good built-ins for common tasks?

Maybe I never really saw Elm shine but I think I would miss PureScript's type holes (yes, I know type bombs are almost the same unless Elm updated that?) not to mention ad-hoc and row polymorphism.
PureScript surface area is larger than Elm so "simple" might be a stretch.
