this thread has been a disaster in several ways, but mostly in ways tangential to the logo. nobody seems to really be opposed to changing the crappy logo. I think it might actually happen...

update: it looks like the thread had enough momentum that people now want to try to change the name. this is going to be way harder, but I'm hopeful!
