As an Australian I voted 'more', on the condition that those in higher tax brackets pay a greater percentage of their income than me. And while we're at it, 'yes' to a proper UBI without the government persecuting the poor who are struggling to make ends meet.

The problem is also what we mean by "taxes". Income taxes could use some adjusting, but we could ignore that and cover society's needs with wealth taxes, estate taxes and closure of tax loopholes for the super-rich.

Also the discussion is about "paying more", but does that mean "raising the marginal tax rate"? Or does it mean "eliminating tax exemptions like Negative Gearing which lower the tax base while hiking real estate prices, making it more difficult to afford a place to live?
