It breaks my heart that the video game industry sometimes exploits young people who are full of wonder and excitement.
I just want to take the kids under my wing, give them the tools & let them explore and create anything they can think of

A lot of people genuinely use the naiveté of inexperienced, but ambitious & enthusiastic tech & creative workers *on purpose* just to squeeze out more short-term financial gains
They’re willingly deciding to kill off curiosity, wonder, and all other driving forces of innovation

Slightly different but in a similar vein: it breaks my heart when folks attempt to crush out that excitement, curiosity, and ambition in order to make people fit a specific exploitable shape that avoids questioning the status quo.
