The Rust compiler is like a very knowledgable pair programmer. It catches small errors smoothly while also challenging the bigger picture around architecture. The results so far always seem better for it. Once someting compiles it’s always super near functional and correct.

The more I Rust I write, the more I don’t want to write Typescript anymore. When I need something more dynamic, Javascript does fine. It’s a middle ground where the ecosystem interop causes lots of friction, only to get weak guarantees and plenty of compiled codes that panics.

I really remember seeing your artwork (that started a love for indie games looking like it) and then dual-trackpad-setup that I still tell people about to this day. Maybe that helps to jog your memory 😅

Hah! Amazing - glad I could inspire you! I need to get back to the indie game stuff… many layers deep in the stack truing to learn about how to prove compiler correctness theorems in dependently typed theorem provers and implementing my own programming languages… 😅
