Applied type theory is wonderful because it builds bridges between beautiful theoretical concepts and practical tools for engineers. It is sometimes hard to publish in this space because you always disappoint someone, but I still think it is worth it.

Yeah! I love learning about and trying to implement type theory stuff because it relates deeply to the foundations of mathematics, seems really useful for practical stuff, and is full of interesting design questions! It's also beautiful and really creative! Such a cool field! 💖
