Australia did something absolutely terrifying in early 2019 and it got almost no attention. To my understanding AUS can order an individual employee at a AUS tech co to introduce security backdoors and they're not even allowed to tell the employer

Yup, we were trying to rattle everything about the #AABill and nobody was listening - not least the journalists, who only seem to be worried when this stuff impacts them, alas (eg. the raids on the ABC). 😢
