[tw: "some personal news"] I've accepted a full-time engineering position at in Bangalore, where I'll be doing backend work in Haskell :) (It's my first job, I'll be moving quite far away from Kolkata and living on my own… am I a grown-up now? *gulp*)

It is/was an internship, to be exact — it was excellent and I learned a lot and got to do some really fun stuff, but I decided I'd prefer working with a team in person instead of remote work

Remote work is super hard and challenging - I think I'm getting a handle on it now, but it's taken _months_ even when I was already familiar with my specific job. And I still miss all the incidental social stuff/technical chats that come from working in a shared space.
