It's hilarious and terrifying to think about that when I told people online, in the website guest books or ICQ, that I'm actually under 5 years of age or in the kindergarten, it was the truth! And my parents didn't know; they also didn't supervise my computer usage.

I know it probably sounds absolutely ridiculous and unusual, but also a lot of kids learned English through the TV like I did, and I was a very antisocial kid but learned to fully read and write much earlier than others. But this world of cute websites and games opened up so much

Thankfully, I remember only having simplistic and wholesome interactions at the time, and also stealing code from one iframes website and getting called out for it, because I didn't know how to do things from scratch and also didn't understand that what I did was bad. 😅

I'm very happy that I at least got to experience the joys and aesthetic of early 2000s/late 90s computing to some extent.

Yeah, I'm now rediscovering it again too! Such a fascinating time!
I have a big sense of nostalgia for that era of GUIs too. Really want to integrate that aesthetic/feel into the interactive stuff I make! 🤩
