Is there a more partially-read book in tech than "Godel, Escher, Bach"?
X: Have you read Godel, Escher, Bach?
Y: Yes. Well, part of it, anyway.
Retweet if you've read part of it. 😆
Structure and Interpretation of Computer Programs AKA The Wizard Book.
It was the intro to computer science textbook at MIT a few decades ago, but it's still very much worth the read
Ah, I think I've seen it, but not read it. I think I have CLRS somewhere but that's the only one I've kept. Oh, and TAPL of course (types and programming languages), but I have a programming language degree.
Yeah, I'm not sure that I technically read everything, but it is indeed amazing.
I hadn't taken a single theory of PL class in undergrad when I started my PhD in PL, and Pierce *saved* me.
He's also an amazing person. Huge respect for him.
