I will never understand why people don't immediately dismiss Urbit as the crank nonsense it obviously is.

I was fascinated at first, in the early days - I thought it had a really interesting aesthetic at the time with the space metaphors and funny names, even if it did seemed a bit off the deep-end. But then I learned about the underlying politics and nope - do not like! 😬
There's probaly a 'Nazi-cool' thing going on here. We have to be wary of letting ourselves and others getting suckered into this. I can still appreciate TempleOS, but in that case the problematic ideologies were easier to identify, less 'cool', and hence less likely to spread.
