Four years ago I dropped out of my CS degree, which hadn’t met expectations. Was still getting over my sense that I’d failed to meet expectations in my first internship. Now I get paid to work full time on turning PL research into stuff that is usable in industry - a dream job!

Hey, you, stop for a moment and think about where you wanted to be 4 years ago and where you're now. Give yourself credit for how far you've come and pat yourself on the back for everything you've achieved along the way. Now go on with your day & shine even brighter.

Life is still far from perfect, and I’m doing my best to improve, but it’s nice to acknowledge my progress. I’m thankful for the opportunities that I’ve been afforded but will try not to take them for granted, and will do my best to provide them to others in need. 🙇‍♂️

I do want to give thanks to all those who have supported me over the years, and saw potential in me (many of them follow me here). Even if I may not have been the best at showing gratitude to you at the time, I try every day to pay those gifts forward. I won’t forget it.
