[Subtweet] I need to get a rant off my chest. Recently someone shared with me an article making pretty extreme programming claims. But they had a scientific study to back it up! ...which was a puff piece. But THAT ALSO linked a scientific study. Which I found and read.

Yes. The "waterfall" paper and the "10x developer" paper are good candidates. The first argues against waterfall. The 2nd isn't about developer skill at all, but about offline/online editing of programs and if there are differences in bugs/productivity.
