I visited Scotland briefly a few years back and they had bunnies all around as just this normal thing, it was amazing

(similar thing with chipmunks and squirrels in the US, for europeans)
makes me wonder what kind of wildlife other places have which the locals take for granted but travelers-from-afar would not...

Tbh I find the idea of bunnies and chipmunks and squirrels to be much more delightful. Our possums are adorable though (unless they are doing a mating dance on your roof or tucking into your fruit and veg). abc.net.au/news/image/659

They are pretty shy though. Although sometimes you see them on an evening walk through suburbia. You find them up trees, walking along the tops of fences, or scurrying up power poles.
