What do you call “paying someone to force you to do things?” Say I have a personal project and I want someone to be a pseudo-manager, periodically checking in and making sure I meet deadlines It’s not quite the same role as a personal assistant, altho it could be filled by one

Almost, but not quite, entirely unlike a producer Ordinarily a producer pays you to force you to do things (that you begged the producer to pay you so that you could do in the first place)

Although I guess it really depends on the industry and the sense of “producer” that you mean, because apparently
