We should be better than physics though. Other parts of software/tech are doing much better at making inroads into the problem of diversity than us.

I mention Physics because of the work done symmetrymagazine.org/article/rewiri and how the fixed mindset afflicts both FP and physics. I haven't seen the same work in FP.

I’ve been trying to cultivate ‘growth mindset’ thinking where ever I can in the communities I frequent - it’s good even for existing community members too, who might also feel silently undereqipped at times to be able to follow certain topics.
