So twitter seems to have dropped the non-algorithmic timeline setting in favor of a toggle at the top of the timeline (in the web client, at least)... but that one keeps spontaneously resetting to 'top tweets' after a few hours.

This is extremely obnoxious, of course, yet exactly what one'd expect from twitter at this point. Has anyone found a way to make the setting stick?

I think they must count the act of setting it back to 'latest tweets first' as 'positive engagement' or something.
