I've spent the entire last 1.5 years being full time employed for writing asynchronous networking in #rustlang. I feel like I have some kind of valuable experience on this. However I also don't have the time or motivation to participate in these endless GitHub RFC debates.

How you manage to keep track of these discussions is honestly beyond me. I've been closely monitoring the state of Rust development since 2013, but it has proven more and more difficult to do so over time.

And I'm honestly a bit afraid, because I think that the people with the most valuable expertise on a topic are also the ones who don't want to have to deal with all that background noise of bikeshedding.
